I don't know if your like me or not, but I have to have things in their own place. I decided to take all my glass jars with lids and turn them into storage jars. I don't see any reason to go buy them when I can just recycle the ones I already have. Green!!! I know this project isn't as cool as yours Tasha, but I'm cheap on certain things...LOL. Now that Brhody is eating baby food, I use the baby food jars for paper clips or thumb tacks. The Zourkos family loves pickles, and since we buy the big jars from Costco, I had to keep them. First thing is to take the lids off and make sure they are clean. Then.......

Steel some sand paper from the hubby!!!

Rough those babies up.

Oh ya that's roughing it!

Steel some gloss black paint from the hubby ( or whatever color you want ).

These work great for getting the goo or the printed expiration date off the glass.

And then paint!

These are my fav. I love having small containers to put things in!

And now you have some recycled storage jars that are not plastic ( which I love ).

  1. Nice work! I have a huge pile of similar jars and lids waiting to be painted - haven't gotten to it yet!
