Jake and I think it's funny that everywhere we go there seems to be an over pass that is not done or is just left hanging...LOL
We wanted to take a ride and get past all the traffic!
When we got there, the excitement was itching to take her out ( White Lightening )!!!!
I don't know if you can see it or not but yes there is mud on her!!! They hadn't groomed the track that first night so they said we could take her down the track. I thought I was pretty cool getting her up to 50 mph but the hubby had to take her to 63 mph. Lynn and I would have to argue though....we took it up to 50 in half the distance then their 63...LOL We also took it mud bogging...LOL the usual return track was a mud pit.....so of course of girls had to put it in 4 and see what she would do.....The boys had to one up us in 2 and speed through going about 20.......but we had some fun!!!
I think this is when the fun really started! Rum is all i'm going to say!!!
Jeffrow kept us warm with his amazing fire skills!!! Thanks Jeffrow.....( I had a cute pic of you and Lynn but it would not let me post it for some reason).
I don't know why, but the helmets came out that night...LOL
The next day we got to see what the jeep would do!!! My baby was running 4.9s......so proud!
3rd pass on the second day the trany blew 2nd! They thought they could get it to hold but no such luck.
This rig is the scariest thing ever....I wish I was video taping while he did his run...He almost lost it. I don't know how he didn't roll it. I think they need to find a new driver or just burn this one to the ground and start over...The father crashed it on this same track a few years ago and last year in Long View the son almost lost it. Then this last weekend the son came very close to destroying it....Wow!
After the first day of racing, the boys were already talking about putting a street bike engine in a quad, so Jeff could go faster!!!
Saturday night, Jake and I had a romantic evening on top of a dirt mound and watched the sunset!

This was on our way home.....my favorite sign ever! So clever!
American Pickers......Where's Mike and Frank.....I would love to meet them and go pick with them....without the spiders...LOL
This is for Mike the Arostream man!!! LOL
As we were cruising past Long View, Jeff called to let us know he was sweating to death....what ??? We were cozy with the air on.....they did not have air.....Oh......it's 89 out! The next thing we knew there were sock ice bags...LOL
The traffic was so bad that we decided to take a detour, which turned out to be just as bad if not worse....anyways I caught sight of this for my little Maddy!
Finally after 8 1/2 hours on the road ( which should of been 5 1/2 ) we made it to Lake Stevens! What a view we had! All in all we had a wonderful kid free and fun filled weekend! Thanks Mom, we really needed that time!!!
