Races and More!

This last weekend we took a trip to Albany OR for the sand drags....What fun we had! I had to start by taking a picture of this sign.....what the heck???? 50 on I5 Not okay!!! Let me tell you, through the 50 mph the fastest we went was 30, maybe!

Jake and I think it's funny that everywhere we go there seems to be an over pass that is not done or is just left hanging...LOL

We wanted to take a ride and get past all the traffic!

When we got there, the excitement was itching to take her out ( White Lightening )!!!!

I don't know if you can see it or not but yes there is mud on her!!! They hadn't groomed the track that first night so they said we could take her down the track. I thought I was pretty cool getting her up to 50 mph but the hubby had to take her to 63 mph. Lynn and I would have to argue though....we took it up to 50 in half the distance then their 63...LOL We also took it mud bogging...LOL the usual return track was a mud pit.....so of course of girls had to put it in 4 and see what she would do.....The boys had to one up us in 2 and speed through going about 20.......but we had some fun!!!

I think this is when the fun really started! Rum is all i'm going to say!!!

Jeffrow kept us warm with his amazing fire skills!!! Thanks Jeffrow.....( I had a cute pic of you and Lynn but it would not let me post it for some reason).

I don't know why, but the helmets came out that night...LOL

The next day we got to see what the jeep would do!!! My baby was running 4.9s......so proud!

Gotta love that spray!

Just like his old man....popping wheelies in 2nd.

3rd pass on the second day the trany blew 2nd! They thought they could get it to hold but no such luck.

This rig is the scariest thing ever....I wish I was video taping while he did his run...He almost lost it. I don't know how he didn't roll it. I think they need to find a new driver or just burn this one to the ground and start over...The father crashed it on this same track a few years ago and last year in Long View the son almost lost it. Then this last weekend the son came very close to destroying it....Wow!

I wish he was in the close lane.....good wheelie!!!

After the first day of racing, the boys were already talking about putting a street bike engine in a quad, so Jeff could go faster!!!

Saturday night, Jake and I had a romantic evening on top of a dirt mound and watched the sunset!

This was on our way home.....my favorite sign ever! So clever!

American Pickers......Where's Mike and Frank.....I would love to meet them and go pick with them....without the spiders...LOL

This is for Mike the Arostream man!!! LOL

As we were cruising past Long View, Jeff called to let us know he was sweating to death....what ??? We were cozy with the air on.....they did not have air.....Oh......it's 89 out! The next thing we knew there were sock ice bags...LOL

Olympia!!!! Yay look at all that traffic!

This did not look right.....check out the tow rig, the bug, and then the surf boards...LOL

The traffic was so bad that we decided to take a detour, which turned out to be just as bad if not worse....anyways I caught sight of this for my little Maddy!

Finally after 8 1/2 hours on the road ( which should of been 5 1/2 ) we made it to Lake Stevens! What a view we had! All in all we had a wonderful kid free and fun filled weekend! Thanks Mom, we really needed that time!!!

Family

So my boy is finally rolling off the blanket. It's weird to me how different my kids are. Maddy by this age was moving all over the floor and Brhody has just now started rolling. He is loving the feel of the carpet on his fingers.

A whole different day, Maddy was enjoying reading to her baby brother!

My two boys snoozing in the recliner...LOL He will only fall asleep on daddy this way!

The other day we had a wonderful visit with family we haven't seen in some time.....Left to right......Kayly, Maddy and Sophie. They were so cute together.

Maddy had to make sure she got her pig in the picture!

Chicken Frenzy

Let the chicken frenzy begin!!! Maddy had her two friends over yesterday, Thomas and Kyler who had to leave before we made it outside. Thomas had been over once before and was hesitant about holding a chicken. This time however he was excited!!! Of course Maddy had to take charge and let the girls out.

Once the girls were loose, the kids were after them!

Pretty girl giving Thomas a run for his money!!!

Of course the chicken whisper had to wrangle one for Thomas to hold. What a good friend she is.

He wasn't sure how this chicken thing worked and Pretty girl escaped out of his arms.

Thomas wasn't about to give up....he was after Bella!

I don't think Maddy liked that.

She put her chicken down and took over........Bella is her favorite chicken. Bella will let Maddy do anything with her. Often you will see her riding around in Maddy's red wagon. Next time we will catch you a chicken to hold Thomas and hopefully Kyler will be able to hold one too!!!

The other night while trying to entertain little man for the last 40 min. of his long stretch of no sleep before eating and bed, Maddy and I decided to play monster truck with him. He loves looking at all the trucks in his room, so we took a bunch of them down, and I was making them drive all over and crash into one another. He is such a boy....he was loving this. I even tried offering another kind of toy, but he wanted nothing to do with it. All he wanted was his monster trucks!

After playing for quite a while, it was time to go make his bottle. As you can see he was not happy that we were done playing.

On another note and day.......Brhody is becoming quite the garage boy. He loves going out and seeing what daddy is doing. Since daddy has been out there a lot lately rebuilding his motor, Brhody gets lots of garage time. The other day I was showing him the motor and he got all excited and had to touch it. He also loves to sit in the jeep seat and look around. I think daddy will have his hands full with two kids who love to be out with him doing the boy stuff. I broke down and bought the Bumbo for him, which turned out to be the best $40 purchase yet. He thought it was pretty cool to be sitting out in the garage, that was until he realized he wasn't in moms arms.
