We have been waiting for this day for some time now! Around 3:45 the other morning our girls were going crazy out in their hen house. I thought they were begging for food once again....they are pigs not chickens..LOL Anyhow, when the hubby got home from work and went out to feed the girls, he found these beauties. I thought he was pulling my leg again, but oh no our girls finally came through!
What we can't figure out is what chicken layed white eggs??? We did some homework on our girls and made sure they are the breed they are suppose to be. NONE of our girls are suppose to lay white eggs!!! LOL I guess we should just be happy that they finally plopped some eggs out..LOL I know why they were squawking....did you check out that big one on the left!!!
I wonder if they are from "Pretty Girl"? I think she is supposed to lay green eggs and they are sometimes barely green at all. Did you put them up against a white one from the store and are they really pure white?
ReplyDeleteAlice, is supose to lay our green eggs which she is now. The other eggs are just barely off white....we think they are from Bella but not sure. The other two are suppose to be laying brown eggs....It's a wonder!!! Our friend Amy said that it may take a while to get the pigment in the egg...I don't know...LOL
