Nothing Sweeter!

This afternoon while sitting with my beautiful little girl, I realized that she has one of the biggest hearts. We were watching the Flintstones movie, and a Sarah McLachlan commercial about saving the animals came on, and little miss Maddy lost it. She crawled over closer to me on the couch and said " their in cages momma". She then started to cry for those animals. I tried to explain to her that they were in cages getting better and that when they were better they would go to a nice home and get lots of love. That made things a little better, but when she said " momma you have to let them out of those cages", I almost lost it. Her big blue eyes were filled with tears and locked on mine, what does a mother do. I grabbed that cute kid and hugged her till I almost popped her. I think she might love animals...LOL

Reptile Zoo!!!

By looking at this face you would think, ( what is she making that poor kid do ). You guessed it, I did make my poor little Maddy stand in front of this monster of a snake so I could take her picture. I must tell you that she was okay just going up and looking at it, but when she had to turn her back and take the picture, she started to freak. Just look at that snake, it would eat Maddy for a snack. SCARY!

When I got up close to take this picture, I swear this snake looked at me like it wanted to eat me. YUK....I just don't dig the snakes.

This guy was really cool, he was one of Maddy's favorites.

Daddy really liked this guy with his horns.

When we walked up to this tank, I thought oh what a cute little turtle. I then took another look after thinking is my mind playing tricks on me or does that turtle have 2 heads. Well you can see for yourself.

All I could think was squishy puffy cheeks....LOL

This guy followed me around pretty much his whole pen area. He is kinda cute!

While Maddy and daddy were checking out the room that I forbid to go in ( the spider room ) I was out checking out these cute guys. While doing so, the guy that was cleaning their cage asked if I wanted to touch one of the bigger ones??? WHAT ??? Touch one? Okay! By then Maddy and Daddy had make their way over to us and this crazy worker guy just walked into their stinky and I mean stinky pen and just grabbed one. I was a little nervous, but he seemed so sure of it and then he brought it out and said " okay she is calm enough to touch". So the next picture will say it all.

I couldn't believe Maddy was brave enough to touch her. I figured if she can do then momma has to too. I did and it feels really cool. The below picture is of one of my favorite ones. He has the coolest hands that open up and look like 2 hands. Plus his eyes move all the way around.

A STORY THAT WILL BRING A TEAR TO YOUR EYE!

I'm pretty sure everyone has watched King Kong, ( the new version ) well I have been a mean mom and have not let Maddy watch this movie for about 5 or 6 months now. Yesterday Maddy is trying to pick out a movie we can watch together, and she of course asks if we can watch King Kong. I of course feeling bad that I haven't let her watch it, says yes! If you haven't watched this movie, let me tell you it's very long and takes a while until the action starts up, so we always skip it ahead until it gets to the good parts. We had been watching it for a good half hour when I had to get up to use the restroom, and after sitting down for a minute or so, Maddy comes walking into the bathroom crying tears of sadness. I knew they were sad tears, because she was just sobbing and not screaming from an injury of some sort. I finally got her to stop crying a little bit and asked what was the matter, and she says " momma, King Kong is sad....they are taking the girl from him....momma, he is sooooo saaaadd". I almost started crying along with her, I had watery eyes as I hugged her and tried to explain that they would see each other again. I also though ahead and turned off the movie before the end when he dies, I didn't want to see thoes tears. I am a very proud and happy mother to know that my little girl has such a big heart!
