Great finds, Great food, and Great people!

Another trip to Value Village and these little buggers had to come home with me. I also got little saucers which both match a set of tea cups I got there a while back. I was so excited to find them, I had to use them in tonight's dinner.

Got this great buy at our friends garage sale....worked great for dinner tonight.

Kept our chicken warm while we got all the other stuff ready for chicken tacos.

I love my new bowls.
Homemade guacamole, ( got this off Tasha )
Yum!

The spread!!! You want some, don't ya???
After dinner Maddy and the boys had a root beer float, which I was told that you can only use A&W root beer.
Yum yum!!!
Her first root beer float.....she loved it!
I'm waiting for this yummy desert!

Check it out.....I can't wait to sink my teeth into it....We are spoiled to have Donald here! I just got word from Jake that it is the best apple pie EVER!!!

  1. Jake told me,"That is the Perfect Apple Pie" - thanks Jake. The secret is in the crust. Here is my Grandmother Evelyn's Pie Crust recipe:

1 1/2 cups of sifted flour
    1/2 cup of canola oil
    3 tablespoons of milk
    1/4 teaspoon of salt

Sift flour into a bowl with salt. Next pour canola oil in measuring cup and add milk. Do not stir canola oil and milk together simply just pour over flour in the bowl. Next with a wooden spoon mix the flour and canola oil together into a ball. Once mixed put the ball of flour between two sheets of wax paper and roll out until its big enough for pie pan. Next take off the top wax paper and using the bottom wax paper flip it over onto pie plate. Next take a fork and punch holes into bottom crust to prevent bubbling. Then pour contents of pie and repeat for top crust. Then bake at 350 Degrees for 50min.

There you have it the simplest, easiest and flakest pie crust ever! Bon Appetit!
