Great finds, Great food, and Great people!

Another trip to Value Village and these little buggers had to come home with me. I also got little saucers which both match a set of tea cups I got there a while back. I was so excited to find them, I had to use them in tonight's dinner.

Got this great buy at our friends garage sale....worked great for dinner tonight.

Kept our chicken warm while we got all the other stuff ready for chicken tacos.

I love my new bowls.
Homemade guacamole, ( got this off Tasha )
Yum!

The spread!!! You want some, don't ya???
After dinner Maddy and the boys had a root beer float, which I was told that you can only use A&W root beer.
Yum yum!!!
Her first root beer float.....she loved it!
I'm waiting for this yummy desert!

Check it out.....I can't wait to sink my teeth into it....We are spoiled to have Donald here! I just got word from Jake that it is the best apple pie EVER!!!

Forgotten moments!

I can't believe I forgot to tell some really funny moments at the zoo! When all the animals had been scene, and it's time to go of course Maddy wants to see more. We tried explaining that we had scene all of them, but you don't argue with a 3 year old. We finally convinced her that it was time to go, but I think the only reason she agreed is her feet were hurting....Now this is where Daddy and I started laughing soooo hard. We are walking to the car and she is saying "where is it....can you see it....momma my feet hurt......is the car right here?????" "No Maddy that is a Volvo.....we drive a big silver one"....."Oh, well where is it....My feet hurt.....Momma, where is it????" This went on the whole walk to the car, which was not a very long walk, by the time we made it there I was in tears laughing. Of course we took off her shoes at the car and she was much better. Then we had a whole recap of the zoo trip while she looked over the zoo map. I think daddy was about to pop! By the time we hit the freeway she was fast asleep!

ANIMAL...ANIMAL...ANIMAL

Since the weather forecast was giving us one nice day out of this whole weekend, we decided to see what we could find at the zoo. Boy oh boy did we have some good luck with seeing some really cool things at the zoo, which you will see soon. Just a warning, if you don't have tons of time right now than don't bother. This is only a pinch of pictures that were taken today! Maddy was in heaven watching these little guys!

On the way to see more animals we spotted this friendly guy! He came right up to us, I thought for a moment that I would have to grab him and dropkick him if he tried anything.

We saw a big crowd around these two, I wonder why? They were putting on quite the show for everyone. They got pretty carried away, and would bump up against the glass, making old mom here a bit nervous. Can you believe Maddy wasn't scared at all.

Of course when we get to the monkeys, she freaks out and would not go up and say hi to this fellow. Sorry about the glare, but there were so many people trying to get up close that I had to snap a quick shot.

Then we heard this guy causing quite the stir in the crowd. He was very loud, and his neck would blow up and get pretty big.

His brother here was hiding out until Daddy spotted him, and oh boy he was not to happy having his cover blown. He got all bent out of shape and started in with his brother. We had to make a mad get away before we caused any more trouble...LOL

Of course the fake ones are ok mom! There nice, they really are!

One of Maddy's favorite animals at the zoo!

This guy was pretty mellow, but his friend down below was pretty anxious.

He kept rocking his feet and moving back and forth.

Since the Elephants play with them, of course Maddy had to see it!

These are cute little baby foxes mom!

Dad had to pick her up for a better look.....

and this is what she spotted....

and a very lazy hippo.

One of my favorites of the zoo!

Can you guess what this belongs to???

He was pretty cool!

she went right to it.

This cutie was right under our feet. Maddy chased him around for a while. Dad told her to act like she was going to feed him, so she does and the duck gets her finger in the process. Thank goodness it didn't hurt. All in all we had a wonderful day at the Zoo!

Mark & Maddy day of fun!

This is just one of the many things these kids found to do outside. Maddy was trying to push him but he wanted to pretend it was his dirt bike.....number 199!

Next was the tough man competition.....she was trying to dump the water out of her sand box, so I could put clean water in it for the whale that Mark is holding....He kept looking at me like, what is she doing!

He kept climbing this over and over....I think it was one of his favorite things to do in the back yard.

Then he found this frog and had to come show me and kept saying " take it's picture B ".

This is where the real fun started. They spent most of their time digging in the dirt looking for worms. It was pretty cute!

She got one.....

and so did Mark!

Mark had a great idea to put them in the wagon, since B wouldn't let them come in the house.

I think at one point they had up to 15 worms in the wagon!

Then it was time to take the worms for a ride. I'm pretty sure a few worms lost their lives during the wagon ride. Only one worm was in her hand, the others are under her! Oops!

It's Maddy's turn to take the worms for a ride, they had to make sure the worm was safe in Mark's hands before starting.

I'm not sure who had more fun, them or the worm!

You think their looking for the worm, don't ya? Nope, Mark spotted a spider and started to get a little worried that it was going to get on him, so Maddy decided to help!

Mark got pretty worried about the spider, so he had to get out, and so Maddy went in for the kill! All in all they had a pretty good day in the Zourkos back yard!
