Play Date

A while back, and I mean a while back like over a month ago, Thomas and his mom came over for a visit. Thomas was determined to hold a chicken. Of course Maddy has to take over!

The number one rule about our chickens is that there is no chasing them....as you can see Maddy is trying to tell Thomas about the rule and she is getting very mad.

Now she is furious....LOL He really wasn't chasing them.....at least not like Maddy does...LOL

Still after that dang bird!

Maddy had had enough of him going after Pretty Girl....but look who he is after now...Maddy's favorite ( Bella ).

Surprisingly she walked away with Pretty Girl and left Thomas with the task of catching Bella.

No go on the Bella catching, so Maddy was nice enough to hand over Alice....I think she stayed in his arms for about 3 seconds...LOL She can be a real stinker, Alice of course.

Much nicer chicken to be petting or trying to hold.

On the hunt again!

Finally he got to hold one. Yay!!!

One Of The Great!!!

Uncle Jim

I miss you so much already, you will always hold a very special place in my heart. You had such an amazing heart, always there for anyone and everyone. I will always remember your love for family and friends, especially the special place you held in your heart for Brittany. I know you are with her now! There are so many things I wish I could still say to you, like how much I love your smile, and how I miss that laugh of yours. I am so glad you got to meet my little ones before you left us, that day I will always hold close to my heart. You left a big impression on Maddy, she tells me not to worry that God is taking good care of you now. I will see you again.....until then, I love you!

FUN....SUN....& BATH

Finally a nice day on the deck with the kids! We cleaned out Maddy's little deck pool and she filled it with ANIMALS!!!

I don't think you can really see it but the baby dragon had to get into the pictures too.

I did however manage to snap a few photos without any animals

What a goofy girl she can be!

I caught this little ham starring at me!

I know right!!!! No words can explain how this pic makes you feel!

He was in his jumparoo and this is the only moment his feet were still.

On a whole other note....I am tired of dragging his baby bath out, which by the way he does not fit in very well. I decided I would give the sink a whorl. He is starting to sit so I figured if I wedged him in with a towel he would be okay! All went well once he got used to the water....check out that face. He was not having it at first, the lip came out but I missed that photo op.

Once he got used to the water, he was loving it....and so much easier for me! Saying goodbye to the baby bath once and for all!

Of course sister was hanging around and wanted a picture with Brhody for his baby book!

Animal Planet!!!

Meet the new host of Animal Planet!!! We took a trip to the Kangaroo farm in Arlington (my old stomping grounds) on Sunday. Maddy watches so much Animal Planet and Nat Geo Wild, that she was answering questions people were asking before the guide could answer....She also answered questions that the guide did not seem to know! My smart little girl! This is Jack, the biggest kangaroo there. Maddy was there the week before with her grandma, aunt, and cousins but momma didn't go so I missed seeing her with the animals. She walked up and talked to Jack like they were old friends.

Seriously.....How weird is this foot. Kangaroos look like big, but cute rats to me. If rats could be cute!!!

A Joey in the pouch....So weird, you could see it moving all over in there. It never popped out though.

Hello old friend....the animals were very calm around her. I think she can relate to animals better than other kids.

They held hands for a while! A few people were commenting on them holding hands and one lady took a picture of it.

The bunny whisperer!

This momma just gave birth 12 days earlier.......

to this cutie!

Just open up.....Please.....pretty please???

Thank you!!!

Okay, now get away........OMGOSH....this peacock would not leave me alone. It was following me down the path with it's feathers all puffed up!

I don't know why, but it seems like they are looking right into your soul! Creepy!

UGLY.....What happened to this thing! LOL

Maddy feeding the lama with a long pellet. Proud momma.....or as dad would say...that doesn't look very sanitary! LOL

Maddy and I loved watching the momma and her babies.

We left before the adult fun started......He was all puffed up and vibrating his feathers while following her around! I didn't know they could make noise with their feathers.

Yard Disaster to Yard Beautiful

Okay this is what happens when you have a baby that loves his momma to much. My little man does not allow much time for momma to get stuff done and Mother nature does not help either! This last weekend was the first weekend that the hubby and I had nothing else going on, going somewhere, and with the sun out. We took advantage of our weekend! Little man got to enjoy the warmth of the sun while momma and daddy ripped into the back yard. These pictures may may you sick...LOL Makes me sick to think that my yard got this bad.

some of the weeds were as tall as me!

Where does the flower bed start or end??? LOL

The ivy bed in the back is a mess!

Wow.....no more weeds! Let the ivy take over!

You can see my rocks...LOL Now I have to find a way to keep little miss Maddy away from them...Right!

I want to do these the whole way around my bed.....money money money! The front yard looks awesome due to the hubby kicking butt out there and the back yard is looking like a park again! Feels so good to have this done!
